A structured, science-informed approach to lasting change beyond medication
Keep your progress - beyond injections
Medication works at a physical level.
Lasting change happens at a behavioural one.
The situation
Weight loss injections can be highly effective.
They reduce appetite, quieten food-related thoughts, and often create a sense of control that may not have been there before.
But many people reach a point where a different question begins to surface:
What happens when I stop?
Will the habits return?
Will the weight come back?
Will it feel like starting again?
This is the stage Life Beyond Jabs is designed for.
This is the part most approaches overlook.
Understanding behaviour
Medication works at a physical level.
It can reduce hunger and quieten food-related thoughts.
But it does not change the patterns that drive behaviour.
These patterns are formed through neural pathways, strengthened through repetition over time.
For many people, the challenge isn't knowing what to do.
It's finding that, in certain moments, they still fall back into familiar habits — particularly when life is busy, routine is disrupted, or attention is elsewhere.
This is often where willpower gets blamed.
But in reality, the brain is simply doing what it has learned to do.
These behaviours are not random — they are learned patterns.
The approach
Life Beyond Jabs focuses on what medication doesn't change.
There is:
Instead, the focus is on how patterns are formed — and how they can be changed.
Based on Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, this is a structured, evidence-informed approach that works with how the brain learns and stores behaviour.
The aim is not to control habits, but to change the patterns that drive them.
So that maintaining your progress becomes more consistent, and less effortful over time.
The neuroscience
The patterns that influence behaviour are driven by established neural pathways.
Under pressure — or simply through routine — the brain will default to what feels familiar.
Crucially, these pathways are not fixed.
With the right input, new patterns can be formed, while older ones gradually lose their influence.
This process is supported through structured sessions, guided hypnosis, and repetition between sessions.
Over time, this allows the patterns that support your progress to become:
So that different choices begin to feel natural, rather than something that has to be constantly managed.
Timing
This approach works both alongside weight loss injections and after they have stopped.
Medication supports change physically.
This work supports change at the level where habits are formed.
Without addressing these patterns, old behaviours often re-emerge once medication is reduced.
This programme is designed to bridge that gap.
So whether you are:
You are not relying on willpower alone.
You are building the patterns that support long-term consistency.
Outcomes
As the process develops, many people notice:
Quieter thoughts around food
More automatic habits
Less need to think about it
Greater consistency
More stability in day-to-day choices
Less reliance on effort
Weight loss becomes less of a focus — and more of a natural result of a more consistent pattern of behaviour.
Not forced control — natural consistency.
The process
Foundation
Minimum 8 weeks
Weekly sessions to build and stabilise new patterns
Consolidation
Optional continuation
Strengthening and embedding change
Independence
Support available if needed
Structure
Many clients choose to continue beyond this to strengthen and embed change.
The aim is to support independence — not ongoing reliance.
The sessions
Each session is structured, practical, and focused on moving forward.
We begin with a combination of discussion and Solution Focused work — helping you understand what's been happening and begin to shift patterns that no longer support you.
This part of the session focuses on building clarity, direction, and a sense of control — rather than analysing the past.
This is followed by guided relaxation (hypnosis).
This is a natural, focused state — similar to being absorbed in a book or drifting before sleep.
You remain aware and in control throughout.
In this state, the mind becomes more receptive to change.
Over time, this helps the brain form new neural pathways, so that the patterns that support your progress become more consistent and automatic.
Rather than relying on effort or willpower, maintaining those habits begins to feel more natural.
Pricing
Lasting behavioural change takes consistency and repetition. For that reason, all clients begin with a structured foundation phase designed to establish and strengthen new patterns over time.
Foundation Programme
Includes:
The Foundation Programme is designed to begin establishing the behavioural patterns that support long-term change.
Many clients choose to continue beyond the initial phase in order to strengthen and embed these new patterns more consistently over time.
Consolidation Phase
Includes:
Some clients choose additional consolidation work depending on their goals, stage of progress, and the level of support they feel is helpful.
As the process becomes more established, most clients move towards greater independence, with occasional support sessions if needed.
Maintenance Support
Available following completion of the programme
Preferred-rate session
£70Designed for occasional support during periods of stress, routine disruption, or transition. Up to two preferred-rate sessions are available each calendar year following completion of the programme.
Additional Ongoing Therapy
For clients wishing to continue with more regular ongoing therapeutic work
Standard session fee
£80The aim of this work is not ongoing dependence on therapy, but helping supportive patterns become increasingly natural, consistent, and self-sustaining over time.
Qualifications
About your therapist
I am a fully qualified Solution Focused Hypnotherapist, having trained at the Clifton Practice, a recognised centre of excellence. I hold a Level 4 Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD), accredited by the National Council for Hypnotherapy.
Before moving into this work, I spent over 20 years as a secondary school teacher. During that time, I was consistently drawn to the pastoral side of my role — supporting wellbeing, building confidence, and helping people find a way forward when things felt difficult.
Over time, I have found myself particularly drawn to working with clients around weight, health, and their relationship with food — especially where things feel stuck, despite genuine effort. It is an area where small, well-placed changes can have a significant impact, and where this approach can feel both effective and sustainable.
Increasingly, this has included supporting those who are looking to move away from more external or medical approaches, and towards something that feels more self-led and lasting.
Outside of work, I am a busy mum of four — ranging from infant school to sixth form college age — so life is full. I also have two dogs, who make sure I get outside each day and bring a natural pause to a busy routine.
I value the work I do. Supporting people to make their own changes — and seeing those changes settle in a lasting way — is a privilege, and something I approach with care.
As with any form of therapy, it is important that you feel comfortable and confident in who you are working with. I offer an initial call so you can ask questions, understand how Solution Focused Hypnotherapy works, and get a sense of whether this approach feels right for you.
If you decide to go ahead, the next step is an Initial Consultation — a full session where we explore your goals in more detail, look at how your mind is currently working, and begin to shape a way forward.
There is no obligation to continue. All sessions take place online, allowing you to relax fully in your own space.
Questions
There is no single "right" time to begin.
Some people start while they are still taking medication, so they can begin building supportive habits alongside the physical changes already happening.
Others reach a point where they are reducing medication, thinking about stopping, or noticing anxiety around what happens next.
And some come after stopping altogether, when they realise the challenge is no longer understanding what to do — but maintaining it consistently in everyday life.
This work is designed to support that transition, wherever you are in the process.
No.
Although Life Beyond Jabs was designed around this particular stage of change, the approach itself is not dependent on medication.
Many of the patterns involved in eating, habits, comfort behaviours, and consistency are driven by learned responses within the brain — whether medication has been involved or not.
The focus is on creating lasting behavioural change, so the work can still be highly effective for people who simply want a calmer, more sustainable relationship with food and habits over time.
No.
This approach is intentionally designed to move away from cycles of restriction, pressure, and constant self-monitoring.
There are no banned foods, rigid rules, or expectations of "perfect" behaviour.
Instead, the work focuses on changing the patterns that sit underneath habits — so that healthier choices begin to feel more natural and less effortful over time.
For many people, this creates a very different experience from traditional dieting approaches, because the goal is not constant control, but greater consistency with less mental strain.
Most people find it surprisingly natural and relaxing.
Hypnosis is not a loss of control or an unconscious state. You remain aware throughout and can hear everything that is being said.
It is more comparable to becoming deeply absorbed in a book, a film, or that calm drifting feeling just before sleep.
The aim is simply to help the mind become calmer, more focused, and more receptive to positive change.
Many clients describe it as one of the most relaxing parts of their week.
That concern is completely understandable — especially if you have tried many approaches before.
This is not designed as a quick fix or a pressure-based programme. Change usually happens gradually, through repetition and consistency over time.
The initial call is simply an opportunity to talk things through, ask questions, and get a sense of whether the approach feels like a good fit for you.
There is no obligation or pressure to continue.
For many people, simply understanding why patterns happen in the first place already begins to shift the way they see themselves and the process of change.
The initial phase is designed to create a strong foundation for change, which is why the programme begins with a minimum of 8 weekly sessions.
Some people feel ready to continue independently after this stage, while others choose to continue for longer in order to strengthen and consolidate the changes they are making.
The aim is always to support long-term independence — not ongoing reliance on sessions.
Because this work focuses on changing established behavioural patterns, it is best viewed as a gradual process of building lasting consistency over time, rather than seeking rapid short-term results.
